We had a fun fiesta themed birthday party for Genna & Sammi so we could celebrate before they went back to school! It was a blast!
I love Christmas!! We did our yearly tradition of church on Christmas Eve followed by food, drinks and presents with the Perkins side of the fam at the Farm. We did Christmas morning just the three of us at home (Santa came!) and then head over to the Hempen house for some more presents and breakfast :) What a great Christmas!! We had a lot of fun going into the city a few times this month. We all went to see the Lincoln Park Zoo lights (it was so warm out) and Dylan also went into the city with Genna, Sammi and Grandma to Christkindlmarket. He sure loves the city :)
The whole fam did the McHenry Turkey Trot for Hospice 5k on Thanksgiving morning bright and early! Pretty difficult after the night out before!! :) We had a lot of fun making ridiculously adorable turkey shirts & running together! Dylan got reaaaally cold so him and Drew didn't actually do the race but they waited for us in the warm van :) My Mom got 2nd place in her age group and I got 2nd place in my age group too! It was a blast - can't wait to do it again next year! Then we went to the Farm for Thanksgiving and helped Grandpa set up his tree! We had a fun get together on November 11th to celebrate Veteran's Day & Dylan's year and a half birthday! :)
The Silkers had an awesome Harvest Fest in the barn that Uncle John built! It was a really fun party! :)
We had two fun parties to celebrate Shelly's 25th birthday! We had a bonfire/dance party at my parents house on Thursday night & then we went out in the city Friday night! :)
We went to Chicago for my birthday & ran a 5K! Me, Shelly and Genna all ran together and did awesome! 24:46! :) Dylan and Uncle Donny walked together! Then we stayed out and celebrated!
Drew has had to take some time off work because of his injury, so we are trying to make the best of it by having a lot of family time! Dylan's second Memorial Day. We went to the ceremony and parade in Woodstock and then partied it up at the Farm!
Yesterday we had Dylan's first birthday party at our new house! It was a perfect day to play and have fun with family and friends. Thank you so much to everyone that came! He had an amazing day - he is very blessed! Sorry for so many pictures :)
Dylan got a super cool Batman car from Uncle Donny for his first birthday!! We had fun celebrating Kate's birthday! We went out to lunch, went to softball and had a party at the Silker house. (And we all had to wear America clothing only haha). We love you Kate - Happy Birthday!!
Dylan had a great first Easter! I was sick with the stomach flu and Drew had to work, but he had fun at church with Grandma and Grandpa and all of his aunts. We also had some fun playing at the farm and dying some eggs!
The weather was crazy this weekend (rain, sun, hot, cold, hail, ect) but we really enjoyed the warm part of Saturday! It got up to 75 & we were able to play outside without a sweatshirt or shoes! :) Dylan really loved walking around the patio and the backyard while the puppies were having a play date with Gravy.
