Dylan had so much fun at his third birthday party over the weekend! We had so many family & friends come to help him celebrate! He is a lucky boy! We have sooo many pictures of the party :) To see more pics click "Read More"
This weekend we had Elliott baptized at the Saturday night service. We had dinner at our house before and then cake & drinks after! It was a great celebration with family!
Ellie had her first visit to the Farm today! Dylan had a blast (as always) & Ellie had fun hanging out inside with Papa!
We had a great Christmas! Church, then hanging out at the Farm and eating/opening presents! Santa came to our house in the morning (Dylan was very nervous about him coming - he kept saying "Santa just drop presents off"). Drew got us a new bunny named Muffy! :) Then we went over to the Hempen house for breakfast and more Santa presents!!
I had an amazing birthday weekend! We started out with the Run for Gus in the city! Shelly and I ran together the whole time and Genna, Uncle Donny, Dylan and a ton of my friends were there too! Then we had a sleepover at Shelly's apartment and rode around on the brown line in the morning - Dylan LOVED it! Then Dylan went back home with Uncle Donny for a sleepover and Shelly and I spent the day together just hanging out. At night we headed over to the Lincoln Park Zoo for drinks and fun! We went out after it was over and then Drew and I drove home after midnight! :) The next day we had a fun party at our house for my real birthday - we did some slip and slide and cooked out! :)
We had a fun Bulls themed party to celebrate Dylan's second birthday! (And Drew's 27th birthday of course!)
We had a huge party to celebrate Grandpa's 90th birthday! It was awesome to see how many people showed up - he is very loved!!
We had a fun fiesta themed birthday party for Genna & Sammi so we could celebrate before they went back to school! It was a blast!
I love Christmas!! We did our yearly tradition of church on Christmas Eve followed by food, drinks and presents with the Perkins side of the fam at the Farm. We did Christmas morning just the three of us at home (Santa came!) and then head over to the Hempen house for some more presents and breakfast :) What a great Christmas!! We had a fun get together on November 11th to celebrate Veteran's Day & Dylan's year and a half birthday! :)
The Silkers had an awesome Harvest Fest in the barn that Uncle John built! It was a really fun party! :)
Halloween was fun this year! We had some people over to greet the trick-or-treaters, drink and be merry :) Dylan really loved answering the door and handing out candy. Guess what he didn't like - HIS COSTUME! I don't think we got a single good picture of him in it! Oh well....maybe next year!!
Back in September, Drew & Dylan tagged along with Papa, Gail & Donny to a World War II reenactment in Rockford. They learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
