I love Christmas!! We did our yearly tradition of church on Christmas Eve followed by food, drinks and presents with the Perkins side of the fam at the Farm. We did Christmas morning just the three of us at home (Santa came!) and then head over to the Hempen house for some more presents and breakfast :) What a great Christmas!! We had a lot of fun family bowling! It was Dylan's first time and I think he really enjoyed it! He ran around yelling "ball". The second game got a little weird haha. A few fun pictures from December. I'm loving the time off work to hangout with Dylan & work on our cooking skills :)
Dylan got to spend the day with Grandpa while we were at work and he had a blast! The whole fam did the McHenry Turkey Trot for Hospice 5k on Thanksgiving morning bright and early! Pretty difficult after the night out before!! :) We had a lot of fun making ridiculously adorable turkey shirts & running together! Dylan got reaaaally cold so him and Drew didn't actually do the race but they waited for us in the warm van :) My Mom got 2nd place in her age group and I got 2nd place in my age group too! It was a blast - can't wait to do it again next year! Then we went to the Farm for Thanksgiving and helped Grandpa set up his tree! Dylan had a fun trip to Carlyle with Grandma & Grandpa to visit everyone! He got to see his Great Gma Jo, all his great aunts & uncles and some second cousins! :) The Silkers had an awesome Harvest Fest in the barn that Uncle John built! It was a really fun party! :)
We had two fun parties to celebrate Shelly's 25th birthday! We had a bonfire/dance party at my parents house on Thursday night & then we went out in the city Friday night! :)
We had a fun Fourth of July weekend! The Kundes came up & we did some yard work, went to Bdubs and played at the water park :)
We had a little get together afterwards and had some amazing food! Steaks, corn on the cob and watermelon! Dylan's second Memorial Day. We went to the ceremony and parade in Woodstock and then partied it up at the Farm!
Yesterday we had Dylan's first birthday party at our new house! It was a perfect day to play and have fun with family and friends. Thank you so much to everyone that came! He had an amazing day - he is very blessed! Sorry for so many pictures :)
We had fun celebrating Kate's birthday! We went out to lunch, went to softball and had a party at the Silker house. (And we all had to wear America clothing only haha). We love you Kate - Happy Birthday!!
We had a really fun and busy first weekend in May. Friday night we had an event at my school, watched Sammi get ready for Prom and went out to dinner at the new steakhouse in Crystal Lake. Mmmmm!
Saturday we had a puppy date with Gravy, played outside, saw Justin & Danielle, went to church & Joe's and stopped by Menard's (Dylan's favorite store)! Dylan had a great first Easter! I was sick with the stomach flu and Drew had to work, but he had fun at church with Grandma and Grandpa and all of his aunts. We also had some fun playing at the farm and dying some eggs!
We spent last weekend moving into our new house and it went really well! We had a ton of awesome people helping us out and we managed to move everything from the storage unit in only a few hours :) Now we just have to set everything up. Thank you so much to everyone that helped us out! We are so lucky! It was really busy and fun so we didn't get a lot of pictures but here are a few we got along with a collage of Dylan's first bath in his new house (he loved it!)
On Tuesday, February 11th we had a party for Dylan's 9 month birthday! He got a lot of fun presents and had some great cupcakes and pizza :)
